Kaspersky Lab was among the participants in operation Blockbuster, a joint investigation conducted by several major IT security companies. The subject of the investigation was activity by the Lazarus Group , a cybercriminal gang of supposedly North Korean origin that was involved in the attack on Sony Pictures in 2014 .
